An illustrator imagines and creates images; those images often go with words in books.

An author comes up with a story and then writes the words on a page. The illustrator interprets what the words mean and turns them into pictures.

It’s your turn to be the illustrator. Read the story The Oddball, written by Ashely Sollenberger, on the following pages. Then add colors, marks, and shapes to each page. There are already a few marks, lines, and shapes on the pages to help you get started.
